Overview
As Agency of Record for K+S Potash Canada (K+S), we supported corporate communications during a critical period of growth and consolidation. With a German parent company and Canadian operations, the company needed to speak clearly across borders to employees, regulators, communities, and media alike. Our role was to help ensure that what was said in Germany translated with credibility on the ground in Saskatchewan.
Challenge
Mining is a high-visibility industry, and expectations in Canada are specific. Corporate language that works at headquarters doesn’t always land the same way locally. K+S needed communications that reflected its global standards while acknowledging the realities of operating in a Canadian province where trust is earned, not assumed.
Insight
For European companies in Canada, alignment matters as much as ambition. Stakeholders look for consistency between words and actions and between global messaging and local experience. By clarifying narrative priorities and refining tone, we helped K+S communicate with confidence while remaining grounded in its Canadian context.
Results
The result was a more disciplined and cohesive communications approach across updates, announcements, and stakeholder touchpoints. Executive messaging became clearer, internal alignment strengthened, and public-facing communications reflected both German precision and Canadian pragmatism. Instead of reacting to moments, K+S operated from a steady communications foundation built for the long term.
